The eSearch product includes a number of different tools and utilities in addition to the main Web and Desktop interfaces:

Data Loader

 

The eSearch Data Loader is an easy to use yet powerful wizard-based desktop application for loading large volumes of data into eSearch.

Use it to migrate your data from legacy sources by easily transposing  columns from a spreadsheet into fields within eSearch.

Also configure this tool to upload different files into eSearch and attach them to various records in your eSearch catalogue.

Also use the Data Loader to perform large volume editing changes.

 

eSearch Attachments Uploader

eSearch 3.4 introduces a new desktop tool allowing you to upload many files or folders into eSearch as attachments simply by dragging and dropping them. This also supports large file uploads - we've tested this with uploading over 2GB of files at once.

The Attachment Uploader tool uses Adobe^® AIR^® technology. That means AIR^® must be installed first - see the System Requirements for eSearch 3.4

This tool is downloaded and installed from within the eSearch 3.4 Web application. It works together with the Web application to manage attachments in eSearch 3.4.

 

 

eSearch Admin Toolkit

Use the Administration Toolkit desktop utility to monitor and manage the health of your eSearch installation as follows:

· Monitor & manage operational eSearch installations

· Configure eSearch back-end services

· Manage User Account details and properties

· Monitor & terminate current user session activity

· Send real-time messages to current users of eSearch Desktop, Data Loader or Web applications (excluding v3.4 Web)

· Produce system reports
